As of July 01 iSite Media have acquired the rights to sell the NZBUS Advertising, adding to our existing bus contracts of Urban Express, Auckland and Mana Bus, Wellington. We are excited about this opportunity and the ability for us to provide complete Out of Home coverage.
This is a new adventure for us and we have an eye on the future... we want to know what you think about Bus Advertising....

a little while ago we had a really creative idea for buses, like your international creative in the newsletter this creative concept involved having the doors covered with the artwork. Unfortunately however at the time we were told that this could not be done as there were restrictions on placing advertising on the doors. Not too sure if this is still the case, but if going forward somehow this could be overcome I am sure there would be a lot more creative ideas which would be possible in the future.
I think Bus advertising is highly effective ? as I always notice myself staring at the sides/backs of buses when I am driving. They are that big thing that?s in the way during traffic time and therefore get noticed a lot. As someone who has just finished Uni, I believe buses are one of the most effective/noticed mediums by students (I mean we basically travel on them 5 days a week), we wait at bus stops for usually 5-20mins and ride the bus for 1-3 hours a day. I really love the innovative use of buses that were in your newsletter ?these definitely create interest and likeability that transfers onto the brand. I believe more creative use could be made of one bus advertising though. As I said people are on the bus for usually 30-1hr at a time ? that is plenty of time to engage and do something really interesting that hinders the boredom we all feel on buses. Hope you guys are having fun with the big new contract!
I personally enjoy Bus Advertising as a meduim, and can see many benifits and advantages to the clients. They are a moving billboard, and can obviously have huge creative potential. Not to mention, have you noticed how unattractive an unbranded bus is on the streets?
Bus advertising is great! A Little bit of feedback: For the Maxibus (Full Wraps) there is a minimum booking period (12 weeks previously 8 weeks). I find this limiting, as some clients prefer only to do a four week run in conjunction with the rest of the campaign, which has on occasions stopped me using the Full Wraps. I think a shorter campaign options should be available. Also the transit TV is great but needs either be turned up or have more speakers throughout the bus. Also have you guys thought of developing a bus timetable/GPS update map as an Apple Iphone App? Would be ideal as an advertising/sponsorship opportunity. Cheers.
